Frequently Asked Questions

  • All of my pieces are handmade with polymer clay. That means they are water-tight, extremely lightweight and less prone to breakage when dropped or bent (although I totally do not recommend trying either if you love your pendant!)

This also keeps the price down as polymer clay is easier to work with than ceramic.

  • Most of my paint is acrylic. But when I use certain whites and metallics, I use Vallejo game paint, which is mostly used to paint miniatures!

  • Yes you can! Just pick ‘earrings’ and click add to cart on your FIRST choice of design. You will be prompted to state whether you’d like one design or two different designs - if you click two I will email you after your have purchased to confirm your choices :) OR - just email me if you’re nervous! I’m always ready to help :)

  • For the most part, my pieces will survive a rainy day. But I wholeheartedly recommend you keep them away from moisture, (out of damp bathrooms!) and definitely out of the pool, shower or bath.

They will stay much brighter and whiter if you keep them dry!

  • Keep them as dry as you can (check the question above)

Avoid rough handling, especially scratching as these are paintings at heart and the varnish will only hold as long as it’s respected.

When storing your pendants, keep them in a clean box, and not exposed to the air - just like all jewellery, oxygen diminishes it’s ‘glow’ over time. Try to not wear them to bed and definitely avoid dyes or stains!

  • The metal of my earrings claims to be so. I sourced them for this reason and with plastic stoppers I’ve not had any issues with mine.

However it is wise to check with me personally if you are very concerned so I can discuss my source with you.

  • I do! Please email me :) they are priced the same as my ordinary earrings.

  • Anyone who orders a choker will be emailed by me to gather this information! So keep an eye out :)

  • It totally is! I’ve had a customer ask for my cat lady design to look like their best friend. I’ve had many customers ask for a black choker instead of blue - the same with wall charm ribbons! I’ve even had someone ask for Nosferatu to be dressed as a delapidated Santa!

anything like this is worth asking (just email!) and if it’s a small change I usually don’t charge. ;)

  • I understand my website is not the most straight forward, so please, if you’re struggling and would like to purchase something - don’t be afraid to email me and I will guide you step by step.

Perhaps websites just really aren’t your thing. We can discuss purchasing through invoicing instead. My email is shown with the little envelope above this list. Or email me @ emmaravencomics@gmail.com
